Wondering about what’s involved with commissioning a portrait? Or perhaps you’re interested in a lush, loose floral piece, or a cute custom painting for a nursery or child’s room. Here’s a bit of info, but please reach out for details.

It’s difficult to determine pricing without more information, but generally, a small portrait (8x8 or 8x10 inches) of one person would be around $300, with the price increasing with the size and/or multiple people in a portrait. Pet portraits start at around $200 for that small size.

Other commissioned work, like impressionistic florals or perhaps sketchy, cute animals (see HERE for examples), require less exacting detail than a portrait and so are less expensive per linear inch. For example, a 20x20 original oil impressionistic oil painting would be in the $500 range. A custom painting for a child’s room (rendered in acrylic paint—nothing toxic in the baby’s room!) could be anywhere from $200 (for a 20x20) on up, depending on the amount of design required and the size of course.

For all commissioned pieces, I work closely with you to design the look you want to achieve before any painting starts. If you’re interested in learning more, then let’s talk!
